1 MONTH OLD AND A NEW CAR

Skyler is already a month old. I cant believe it has been four weeks since this little guy was born. He is such a sweetheart and so much fun to be around. He is very content with whatever is going on around him. The last few days I have been using the swaddle me. I feel like I am putting my little guy in a straight jacket but it seems to keep him sleeping. He is finally starting to get a little meat on his bones. This boy can make the louded noises coming from his diaper. I was a little nervous in church that people were going to think it was me. Wow...he must get this from his dad or grandpa Maughan.

We traded in the corolla last week for a 2010 camry. I love driving it. We have so much more room for Skyler's carseat. Cant wait to get the windows tinted.

BATH TIME

Skyler really loves his bath time! I love it too because it wakes him up for a few hours. These pictures show is big pot belly. He is growing, weighing in at 7.6 lbs. Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a really bad gag reflex. They say it is different when it is your owns kids poopy diapers and I would have to say they are right. I have changed many dirty diapers and even got shot in the chin from Skyler peeing and didnt gag....what a step for me! Max has had the worst end of the deal. The other day he let me sleep for 20 mins. Skyler was on his lap and passed some gas but not only gas he sharted ( defination for those who don't know. Sharted: a fart where a poo comes out ) Max takes Skyler to his room to change him and notices he has poo all over his own shirt and shorts and by this time his hands. ( I guess it was more of an explosion) As Max is taking off his clothes Skyler starts to pee all over his changing table and shooting it down the wall. This story puts a smile on my face everytime Max tells because it gets better and better. Needles to say Max brought Skyler back to me so he could clean up and my nap was cut short. Gotta love this little guy!

3 WEEKS

SKYLER IS STILL BEING SUCH A GREAT BABY. WE FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE HIM. HE IS GROWING BUT IS STILL VERY SMALL. WE BOUGHT A SCALE TODAY AND HE WEIGHS AROUND 7LBS ( GIVE OR TAKE A FEW OUNCES ) HIS BELL AND UMBILICAL CORD FELL OFF THIS WEEK SO WE WERE ABLE TO GIVE HIM A REAL BATH. HE LOVED IT AND KEPT FALLING ASLEEP. HE IS VERY ALERT AFTER BATH TIME. IT IS CRAZY FOR ME TO THINK THAT MY DUE DATE IS COMING UP THIS THURSDAY (MAR 25TH). I AM SO GREATFUL SKYLER CAME INTO OUR LIVES 4 WEEKS EARLY AND WAS A HEALTH BABY. WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH

Who would have thought you could love someone or something so much in just 2 weeks? Max and I have a hard time putting Skyler down. I am still afraid I will miss something if I am not by his side. He is such a good baby and we are enjoying every second of it. This week Max put Skyler's swing together. He loves it so far. Bunk is getting used to all the craziness. He still is very curious but has been really good and gentle. At night when Skyler fusses a little, Bunk will run into our room to make sure we are there. As soon as Skyler stops, Bunk runs back to his room to sleep. I can tell he is going to be very protective of Skyler. We got out the stroller and took both of them for a walk yesterday. It felt so good to get out and get some fresh air.

I know every mom and dad think their baby is the cutest thing ever. I just love this picture of Skyler. I caught him smiling and it looks like he has been laughing. Also his room that he doesnt sleep in yet

1 WEEK OLD

Skyler was one week old yesterday. He changes and gets cuter every day. We just love him so much. He is such a great baby. His days and nights were mixed up at first but he is starting to get on schedule. He wakes up every 3 hours at night to eat, be changed, or held. Now Max and I just need to work on not trying to hold him every second of his life. We are too afraid to miss something. I love in the middle of the night when he is wide awake and just looks at me. It is so sweet. We have had both our families here to help. I dont know what we would have done without them. It has been nice to spend time with Skyler or catch up on my sleep while they cook, clean, and take care of him. Max has been amazing. He is such a great dad. I actually feel bad for him that he has to go back to work in a few weeks. I feel so lucky to be able to stay home and take care of Skyler.

SKYLER MAXIM HAMMOND

Skyler was born on Sat. Feb 27 @ 8:30 pm. Weight 6 pounds 7 ounces. Height 19 inches!!!!!!

Saturday morning my water broke at 6:00 am. I had a epidural at 10:00 am and by 5:00 I was dialated 10. I pushed for 3 hours and not much was happening. At 8:00 they decided to use the vacuum. Skyler was sunny-side up and the cord was wrapped around his neck. Finally at 8:30 he got here and we couldnt be happier. He is an amazing little guy for being 3 1/2 weeks earlier. Max did an awesome job coaching me. He is such a "hands on" amazing dad. I couldn't do it without him. I am a little sore but I can't complain. It really is life changing. I was lucky enough to have my dad, mom, sister, and niece come down. They have been such a great help. Now we are just getting used to not getting much sleep and learning to understand his needs.
